This comfy and inviting log home has 3500 square feet of living space. It is hand crafted from Douglas Fir logs and has an attached, heated 600 square foot two-car garage with lots of extra parking on our paved drive. There are four bedrooms(each with it's own animal theme), three and a half baths, a loft, and four decks. It has a heavily wooded
backyard with plenty of room for play,
or even siting a moose or two.

The main floor includes the master 'Bear Cave' suite with it's own private balcony overlooking an aspen grove, a wrought iron gas stove, log bed with Bear Cabin themed linens, jacuzzi tub for two, and glass block enclosed shower, large walk-in closet,
vanity and double sinks.
The second bedroom has two twin beds, stuffed animals of all sorts,
and is perfect for the little ones.
The great room is divided into two areas. It features a large wood stove, the carving of the bear mascot (you can check him out on the home page), dining room with seating for eight, breakfast bar, full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an elegant Kokopelli themed half bath, and the main deck with BBQ gas grill and
7 person hot tub.
The basement includes a wrought iron gas stove, Mexican theme tile & wet bar (unstocked...sorry!), rustic entertainment center with flat screen TV, DVD and surround sound system, large selection of board games, foosball table, queen sleeper sofa, private 'Moose Lodge' bedroom,
3/4 bath, and laundry facilities.
The loft provides the best views of the Breckenridge Peaks inside the house, with a 'Mountain Lion Den' library, futon,
PC with high speed internet access, 'Eagle's Nest' bedroom, full bath, balcony, and
carvings of both an eagle and a mountain lion
.

The house is wired with a state of the art sounds system that can be heard throughout the
main floor, loft, master bedroom (which has it's own controls),
as well as out on the back deck, and is remote controlled.

The Bear Cabin is a "No Smoking Zone"
The Rocky Mountains of Colorado are supported by a very dry summer climate. There are forest fires throughout the summer months that are often very devastating, and many of them unfortunately are started by a cigarette butte. There are often fire bans in place, and we ask that no matter where you are,
please respect our Mother Earth.

~What you should know about the altitude:
The cabin is at 10,000 feet above sea level.
Symptoms of altitude sickness can include; fatique, shortness of breathe,
dizziness,
light headedness and nausea.
It is vital to your well being to stay very hydrated and increase your amount of
protein intake
when at an altitude such as this.
~Wildlife
The cabin is located in an area where you have a good chance to see wildlife. We have seen bear, moose, fox, eagle, red tail hawk, and a white wolf to name a few.
Please do not approach or feed the animals, as this encourages them to come and
look for food from humans versus continuing to rely on their natural instincts
.
It is our desire to make this vacation home the most welcoming and enjoyable place you've been. We have taken the time to add personal touches so that our home feels like your home. All we ask is that you treat it as such,
and have the best time of your life.
Please contact me with any questions or inquiries.
I look forward to hearing from you!!!
